Dave and Morgan Hansow, an American couple with average lives, feel led to adopt from
Africa. Their hearts are stirred when they learn of the war plaguing the country
and decide to move to Uganda with their two-year-old biological son.

They begin with the intention of completing their adoption and starting a
non-profit organization to empower Africans. The people they encounter will
alter the course of their lives. MOVING ON steps into the lives of three
incredible Ugandans- Betty, Charles, and Joyce. Some... of the stories begin with heartbreak, tragedy and
loss but all are stories of hope- stories of moving on past pain and apathy.

Betty is the house manager and a single mother. Her own past is full of
injustice, but she rises above despair and chooses hope. Charles is the head
tailor for EPOH. Living with HIV, he has a defiant optimism in the face of
adversity. Joyce is a mother of five with a story representative of many in
Uganda and she dances in the face of opposition.

We usually see tragedy
out of Africa- stories of war, injustice, genocide, poverty and despair. We
don't have to define people by the worst moments in their lives. A relationship
with Africa is not one sided- the West will not rescue Africa. Our rescues are
tied up in one another.
